Matt Leckman is a trial lawyer and litigator. He is the founder of Leckman Law LLC, and he is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and various federal courts across the country. He is a proud alumnus of the Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he first began to hone his trial skills as a member of the nationally recognized Temple trial team. Matt then began his career as a law clerk to the Honorable Ronald D. Castille, a Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. During that two-year clerkship, Matt learned invaluable lessons in writing and argument from the best and brightest minds in the Pennsylvania judiciary.
Over the years, Matt’s practice has focused on complex mass tort cases, handling all phases of litigation. He has extensive first-hand experience in the work-up, trial, and settlement of hundreds of complex injury cases involving products that range from prescription drugs to defective airplane parts to pesticides. One of the landmark victories in his career came in 2009, when Matt served as co-lead trial counsel on behalf of three women who developed breast cancer from hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Matt and his team secured an aggregate jury verdict of over $72 million in those cases. Throughout his career, Matt’s tireless advocacy on behalf of injured plaintiffs has helped him recoup well over $100 million in case settlements.
