Medical Device Injuries

Medical device litigation involves claims that defective or improperly tested devices, such as implants, filters, or surgical products, caused significant injury, with lawsuits typically brought against manufacturers under product liability and failure-to-warn theories. Like most prescription drug litigation, these cases are commonly consolidated in federal MDLs or coordinated state court programs, where issues of design, testing, and regulatory compliance are heavily litigated. Examples of medical devices that Matt Leckman has litigated and settled in the past include dialysis products, heart defibrillators, hip and knee implants, and vaginal mesh products.

Leckman Law is always evaluating medical device cases where there is already ongoing litigation.
